How To Play Horse Race
- Shuffle the deck of cards and deal one card face down to each player. This card represents the horse that the player will be betting on.
- Place the remaining cards face down in a pile in the center of the table. This is the draw pile.
- Draw the top card from the draw pile and place it face up on the table. This card represents the lead horse.
- Each player takes turns drawing the top card from the draw pile and placing it face up on the table. The horse that is represented by the card that is drawn moves forward one space.
- If a player draws a card that matches the lead horse, that horse moves forward two spaces.
- If a player draws an Ace, that player can choose which horse to move forward one space.
- If a player draws a King, that player can choose which horse to move forward two spaces.
- If a player draws a Queen, that player can choose which horse to move forward three spaces.
- If a player draws a Jack, that player can choose which horse to move forward four spaces.
- The race ends when one of the horses reaches the finish line. The player who correctly predicted the winner of the race wins the game.
Keeping Score
Players keep track of their winnings throughout the game using chips or coins. The player with the most money at the end of the race wins the game.
