How To Play Texas 42
- Choose teams of two players each. Partners sit across from each other at the table.
- Shuffle the dominoes face down on the table and have each player draw 7 dominoes. The remaining dominoes are placed in a draw pile.
- The player with the highest double (a domino with the same number on both ends) plays it first. If no one has a double, the player with the highest domino plays first.
- Players take turns playing a domino from their hand that matches the lead suit. If a player cannot match the lead suit, they can play any domino from their hand.
- The highest domino in the lead suit wins the trick. The winner of the trick leads the next one.
- The game continues until all 7 tricks have been played. The team that wins the most tricks scores 1 point. If a team wins all 7 tricks, they score 2 points.
- The first team to score 7 points wins the game.
