Objective of the Game

The object of Nines is to win as many tricks as possible by playing the highest card in each round. The player with the most tricks at the end of the game is the winner. Each round consists of players taking turns playing a card from their hand, with the highest card winning the trick. The game continues until all cards have been played, and the player with the most tricks at the end of the game is declared the winner.

Cards Used

Nines is played with a standard deck of 52 playing cards. Jokers are not used in this game.

How To Play Nines

  1. Shuffle the deck of cards and deal nine cards to each player.
  2. Place the remaining cards in a pile in the center of the table, face down.
  3. Flip over the top card of the pile to start the first trick.
  4. Starting with the player to the left of the dealer, each player takes turns playing a card from their hand.
  5. The player who plays the highest card wins the trick and takes all the cards played in that round.
  6. The winner of the trick starts the next round by playing a card of their choice.
  7. Play continues in this manner until all cards have been played.
  8. The player with the most tricks at the end of the game is declared the winner.

Keeping Score

Players can keep score by writing down the number of tricks won by each player after each round. The player with the most tricks at the end of the game is declared the winner.
