How To Play Idiot
- Shuffle the deck of cards and deal them out to all players. The number of cards dealt to each player depends on the number of players: 6 cards for 2 players, 5 cards for 3 players, 4 cards for 4 players, and 3 cards for 5 or 6 players.
- Players look at their cards and choose one to play face down in front of them.
- Once all players have chosen a card, they reveal them simultaneously.
- The player who played the highest card of the same suit as the lead card wins the trick and leads the next trick.
- If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card they wish.
- The game continues until all players have played all of their cards.
- The player with the fewest cards remaining is declared the winner.
Keeping Score
Scorekeeping in Idiot is optional and can be done using pen and paper. The winner of each round receives 1 point, and the player with the most points at the end of the game is declared the overall winner.
