How To Play Macao
- Shuffle the deck and deal each player 13 cards.
- Place the remaining cards in a draw pile in the center of the table.
- Turn over the top card of the draw pile to determine the trump suit for the round.
- The player to the left of the dealer leads the first trick by playing a card from their hand.
- Each player in turn plays a card, following suit if possible.
- If a player cannot follow suit, they may play any card.
- The player who plays the highest card of the suit led or a trump card wins the trick.
- The player who wins the trick leads the next trick.
- The game continues until all the cards have been played.
- Score points based on the number of tricks won and the value of the cards in those tricks.

Keeping Score
