How To Play Oh Hell!

  1. Shuffle the deck and deal each player a certain number of cards depending on the round number (7 for the first round, 6 for the second, and so on).
  2. Turn over the top card of the remaining deck to determine the "trump" suit for the round.
  3. Players must then take turns playing a card, starting with the player to the left of the dealer.
  4. The player who plays the highest card in the "trump" suit wins the trick and takes all the played cards.
  5. Players must follow suit if possible, but if not, they can play any card in their hand.
  6. Once all cards have been played, the score for the round is tallied.
  7. The next round is played with one fewer card dealt to each player, and the "trump" suit is the suit that was played the previous round.
  8. The game continues in this manner until all rounds have been played.
  9. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Keeping Score

In Oh Hell!, players score points based on the number of tricks they win each round. In addition, players receive negative points if they take certain cards. The score for each round is tallied, and the player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
