How To Play Texas 42

  1. Choose teams of two players each. Partners sit across from each other at the table.
  2. Shuffle the dominoes face down on the table and have each player draw 7 dominoes. The remaining dominoes are placed in a draw pile.
  3. The player with the highest double (a domino with the same number on both ends) plays it first. If no one has a double, the player with the highest domino plays first.
  4. Players take turns playing a domino from their hand that matches the lead suit. If a player cannot match the lead suit, they can play any domino from their hand.
  5. The highest domino in the lead suit wins the trick. The winner of the trick leads the next one.
  6. The game continues until all 7 tricks have been played. The team that wins the most tricks scores 1 point. If a team wins all 7 tricks, they score 2 points.
  7. The first team to score 7 points wins the game.
