How To Play California Speed
- Shuffle the deck and deal out the entire deck evenly between the two players.
- Place the remaining cards in a draw pile in the center of the playing area.
- Both players turn over the top card from their deck and place it face up in the center of the playing area.
- The first player to notice that there is a card in the center that matches either the suit or the number of the card on top of the pile can slap the pile and take the cards.
- The player who takes the pile then places the top card from their deck face up in the center of the playing area.
- If a player runs out of cards in their hand, they can take the top card from their draw pile and continue playing.
- The game continues until one player has no cards left in their hand or draw pile.
