Objective of the Game

The object of the game is to move all of the cards from the tableau to the foundation piles. The tableau is made up of seven piles of cards, with the first pile containing one card, the second pile containing two cards, and so on. The top card of each pile is face up, and the rest of the cards are face down. The foundation piles are located at the top of the screen, and they are where you will move the cards to. There are four foundation piles, one for each suit. The cards must be moved in order, starting with the Ace and ending with the King.

How To Play Patience

  1. Shuffle the deck of cards and deal out seven piles of cards, with the first pile containing one card, the second pile containing two cards, and so on. The top card of each pile is face up, and the rest of the cards are face down.
  2. Move any Aces that are face up to the foundation piles. If there are no Aces face up, draw a card from the deck and place it face up on the tableau.
  3. Move any cards that can be placed on the foundation piles to the appropriate pile. For example, if the foundation pile for Hearts has an Ace, you can move any Hearts card that is face up to that pile.
  4. Draw cards from the deck and place them face up on the tableau. You can only draw one card at a time.
  5. Move cards around on the tableau to create runs of cards in descending order and alternating colors. For example, you can move a red Queen onto a black King.
  6. If you run out of moves, draw three cards from the deck and place them face up on the tableau. You can only do this once per turn.
  7. Continue playing until you have moved all of the cards to the foundation piles or until you can no longer make any moves.

Keeping Score

There is no official scoring system for Patience. However, you can keep track of how many times you have played the game and how many times you have won.
